As the holiday season winds down, what better way to beat the winter blues than by indulging in the culinary wonders of Asheville, NC. We’ll explore some award-winning restaurants that continue to captivate food enthusiasts. From Curate to Chai Pani and 12 Bones, Asheville boasts a vibrant food scene that will pleasure your taste buds. The weather this time of year in Asheville the highs are in the upper 40’s and lows down to the 30’s at night. Living the Florida Keys year round, we were ready for a brisk cooler trip and enjoyed the cold mountain air during hikes to find waterfalls, but I’ll save those follies for another post.
With minimal research before heading to Asheville and landing around 11am on a Sunday, we found Serria Nevada East Coast Brewery location. Nothing like fresh beer and a small bar menu after a flight and waiting for our hotel check-in. Over the next of couple days, we moved around eating and enjoy the areas tourist amenities. The few noteworthy places to mention and list when in Asheville, NC.

What to Order: Start your meal with the famous ‘Queso de Cabra,’ a delightful goat cheese with honey and beet compote. Follow it up with the ‘Pulpo a la Gallega,’ a Spanish octopus dish that will transport you to the streets of Galicia.
Chef/Owner: Renowned Chef Katie Button brings her innovative approach to traditional Spanish dishes, making Curate a must-visit for those seeking a flavor and class.
Chai Pani: Indian Street Food
What to Order: Dive into the bold flavors of Indian street food with the ‘Samosa Chaat’ or the ‘Bhel Puri.’ For the main course, the ‘Butter Chicken Roti Roll’ is a crowd-pleaser.
Chef/Owner: Meherwan Irani is the culinary genius behind Chai Pani, quit his sales job and started Chai Pan with Molly his wife. They are an amazing team and now have more incredible food establishments locations, Boti Walla, Chia Pani and the Spice Company Spice Walla.
